#4986 HTC Media Link HD

Posted by patensas on 19 May 2012 - 09:28 PM

Hi all,

I wonder if someone could tell me the difference between the HTC Media Link HD DG H100 & the DG H200. Surfing the web most sites reffer to the DG H200 for the One X but also i found the DG H100 to be half the price.

Wonder if these sellers got confused when they posted them to their websites.

#4356 [How-to]How to upload a file to my space via FTP

Posted by joplayer on 27 August 2011 - 12:18 PM

Hi guys, here I'll explain to you how to upload files to your space when you have one ;)
I advise you to use FTP more than Web upload for many reasons, the main one being a better chance to finish with a complete upload ;)

To upload files via FTP you must use a client, I'll use Filezilla for the screenshots of this how to. You can download Filezilla here : http://filezilla-pro...=client      or in your packages' manager application for Linux users :)
So once installed, open it and follow these instructions.

Solution one : quick connection (does not remember your ids):

  • Login infos must be written here : Posted Image
  • Choose htcfanboys.com as host
  • Enter your given username (usually your username or spacename)
  • Enter your password
  • Enter 21 as port
  • Click quickconnect
Posted Image

So your filezilla window should look like something like this (I wrote infos on the picture)

Posted Image

To upload a file, simply browse the files on your computer, then when you find the file you want to upload simply drag&drop it on the space files.

#5011 Total Noob wanting advice on HTC pb81120

Posted by prichardson08 on 22 January 2013 - 03:01 AM

I'm totally new to phone flashing/modding. This is actually my first smart phone EVER. I'm very tech savy, just not so with phones, with computers... I build them overclock them everything... I just have no clue about phones...

Ok, so I get this phone, it's a PB81120, it says operating system is LEO inside the phone.

My question is this, I'd like to jailbreak or change the OS or whatever it is I need to do to make the thing stable and more powerful. I know there's ways to do this, I just haven't ever done it :P

Could someone please just post me a link to a guide or an introduction or something to get me started please? I'm not afraid of reading, and I love using google, I just don't even know what to search for.

Thanks

#5009 6 Months since Samsung Galaxy S3 Hack - HTC One X STILL Vulnerable

Posted by Jim on 03 January 2013 - 06:04 PM

Hi All

This is my first posting here, so I thought I would introduce myself with a little HTC Shocker. :o  I am into security (and privacy)  - the stuff just gets me going. (not off!) :P
I had a good laugh at the Galaxy Siii USSD exploit (link below), which would allow an NFC tag, hyperlink, iframe etc to be able to (unstoppable) wipe the phone via the use of a USSD code. :D [ factory wipe ]. I was testing a few devices around the office today, and I can say that the GSiii is now safe from the issue.
To my utter disbelief however was the bosses HTC One X :( . ( I have one too and I LOVE IT!) - I also am not running the firmware and ROM it was released with.
He however was, and sadly to say (Maybe we just a little too far behind on OTA updates in South Africa)
the demonstration was made in front of a number of staff members. -1 for HTC on that account.

If you do not know what I am on about, go take a look over here, and
(safely) test your own handset/ROM over here.

If Privacy and the 'dangers of Google' are either a concern of yours, or you want to know what my 'deal' is. - take a look over here

#5003 [ROM][CM10][Dec. 02, 2012] CyanogenMOD 10 "SE" v2.1

Posted by rawdealer on 28 November 2012 - 09:36 PM

In this thread is the my MOD of seadersn CM10 ROM in two versions. My personal which I use on my phone and Dark version of his build with some more cleanups*, including some dark system apps and optional dark Google apps.

This build has included the latest ncx kernel. You need to flash boot.img from zip. No need to flash modules, they're already in the zip.

You can just wipe cache and dalvik cache w/o problems, but it's highly recomended to do a full wipe for the first time, flash ROM zip and gapps (regular or dark – dark ones have more apps inside zip), and then do everything like it's written below.

Standard CM disclaimer:

/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

Credits goes to:
- seadersn
- tbalden, mdeejay and his crew for the device tree which made it to official CM10 device tree,
- CyanogenMod

This build contains the following edits /by seadersn/:

  General build changes:

  • - Bigger app preview thumbnail sizes
  • - Smaller app thumbnail description text
    - Device's screen stays off when charger unplugged
    - Custom, darker brightness levels
    - Screen dim set to 10
    - Enabled automatic brightness when light decreases (working w/o custom filtering enabled, too)
    - custom wallpaper
    - Faster animations
    - Lowered vibrations
    - Critical battery level = 4%
    - Low battery warning @ 9%
    - Low battery warning when on charger set to 20%
  • frameworks / SettingsProvider:
    - Enabled permission to install non-market apps
    - Lowered long press timeout: set to 250ms
    - Enabled automatic screen brightness
    - Set default screen brightness to 50 (standard: 102)
  • Settings:
    - Changed Screen timeout entries to 30 / 60 / 90 seconds, rest is standard (translations only for English and German! Other languages will show default values but use mine. Am too lazy to translate all the 50+ languages Posted Image)
    - Lowered system font sizes: Large in this build = Normal in official build, Normal in this build = Small in official build, Small in this build = not present in official and even smaller Posted Image
    - Lowered long press timeout selector values
  • Browser:
  • - Open tab in background as default
    - Enabled quick controls as default
    - Disabled GeoLocation as default

Hello I am Mirko

#4314 HTC Pyramid again ?

Posted by Whistler on 18 July 2011 - 05:20 PM

More rumors from HTC ;)

Some juicy rumors about a device nicknamed theHTC Pyramid 2 have appeared, and judging from the reported specs, the Taiwanese manufacturer’s next superphone will not disappoint. According to an unnamed source Android and Me has been in contact with, the Pyramid will pack a 4.3-inch touchscreen – the same size as the screen on the Evo 4G. Although HTC is said to have increased the resolution from WVGA to qHD(960×540), which should make everything on the display very crisp and clear.

HTC has always been using Qualcomm chips in its devices, so instead of the Tegra 2 processor that’s so popular these days, HTC is rumored to equip the Pyramid with a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon (MSM8260) CPU with an Adreno 220 GPU. This should mean that HTC’s latest Android monster will be about as powerful as a Tegra 2 phone.

Finally, the HTC Pyramid is rumored to be coming to T-Mobile in May and feature support for HSPA+ networks. Any HTC fans out there who is tempted to make this your next Android phone?

Some of the features the Qualcomm MSM8260 chip supports:

  • Scorpion asynchronous dual-CPU cores, up to 1.2GHz for faster response and processing
  • Integrated 3G mobile broadband connectivity
    • MSM8260 support for HSPA+ networks – up to 14 Mbps downloads and 5.6 Mbps uploads – as well as GSM, GPRS and EDGE
    • MSM8660 support for HSPA+ networks – up to 14.4 Mbps downloads and 5.76 Mbps – as well as CDMA2000 1X, 1xEV-DO Rel A/B, GSM, GPRS and EDGE
  • Low-power 45nm process technology for higher integration and performance
  • High-definition (1080p) video recording and playback up to 30 frames per second
    • Multiple video codecs: (MPEG-4, MPEG-2, H.264, H.263, VC-1, DivX, WMV-9, Sorenson Spark, VP6)
  • High-performance GPU – up to 88M triangles/sec and 532M 3D pixels/sec and dedicated 3D/2D acceleration engines for Open GLES 2.0 and Open VG 1.1 acceleration
  • High-resolution WXGA (1280×800) display support
  • 16-megapixel camera support
  • Built-in eighth-generation gps engine with Standalone-GPS and Assisted-GPS modes
  • Support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Multiple audio codecs: (AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, FR, EFR, HR, WB-AMR, G.729a, G.711, AAC stereo encode)
  • Support for mobile broadcast TV (MediaFLO, DVB-H and ISDB-T)
  • Support for Android, Brew Mobile Platform and Windows Phone
so....htc brings up phone like HTC Sensation again for Android and WM....

#35 Would you buy the HD7 if the HD2 receive a WP7 portage?

Indeed, the hardware is exactly the same so....
